Change to EDS Mask Policy

Dear EDS Families,

Fall is here and we are continuing to adapt to our new “normal” and are so glad to be back in the studio with your children!  Their smiles, enthusiasm, and positive energy continue to reinforce our mission of providing quality dance education in a fun and supportive environment.  It’s hard to believe how different the world has become in a blink of an eye.  Last year at this time I could never have predicted the course our lives have taken since March.

We are continuing to maintain our disinfecting standards as we’ve previously communicated to our families and we are thrilled to share that not one student or staff member has contracted the virus. However, as the number of cases continue to rise, and as we move into the cooler weather, we are needing to reassess our mask policy.  As you know, the decision for a student to wear their mask during instruction times has been determined by the parent, however,  as an abundance of caution for the safety of all of our families, and our staff, and the community we feel it is necessary to take additional precautions.

Effective immediately all students attending in-person classes will be required to wear a mask in the classroom.  Students will absolutely be given mask breaks, but in the interest of protecting all your loved ones and ours, this change is necessary.

This decision is not one that was made easily but is truly based on continuing to maintain health and safety and allowing our students access to continue in-person classes, desperately needed socialization, and continued skill development.   We appreciate the continued support of our incredible EDS families as we all navigate through this unknown territory.  As always, I remain available to address any of your questions or concerns!
